and reopening on March 18, 2026 at 1:00pm

During the season, Oakland Museum is open during the following hours.

Museum shop: Our small museum shop offers a variety of items relating to the history of Nelson County. See our online shop for a list of items available for purchase online.

Accessibility: For handicapped parking, enter the driveway to the left of the museum (not the main parking lot). Please note that only the first floor of the museum is wheelchair accessible. Currently, the first floor contains the Tavern Room, Time Line Room, Tool Room and Museum Shop.  A screen for displaying the Camille Room programs is available for viewing on the first floor. We are working to make all videos and other digital presentations available on the first floor.
